Sigma Phi at the University of Georgia completed a very successful Shamrock Event on March 20, 2004.  The annual Bass Classic fishing tournament on Lake Oconee raised over $20,000 for the prevention of child abuse!  We are very proud of this accomplishment!

I am a PR and Fashion Marketing major at the University of Georgia.  I just received an internship for this summer in New York City with Escada working in their PR and event planning division.  I am on the waiting list for NYU housing and was wondering if anyone knows of subleases, etc. in the Manhattan-area from June 1-August 6.  I am looking for a back up plan should I not receive housing.  Thank you for your help with this!

Hi! I am looking for any women who are optometrists and would like to talk
to me a little bit about their profession.  I'm a junior pre-med student
at Miami University (Ohio) and have recently discovered my interest in
Optometry.  If there are any KD's who are reading this that are
optometrists, or anyone knows someone who'd like to talk, please email me!
(schoenek@muohio.edu)  It would be especially great if I could find
someone in columbus, Ohio.  Thanks!

I just wanted to send a quick note to ask you to keep a sister and her family in your thoughts. Many of you know Karen (Ekstrand) Spaeth from her alumni involvement and have likely read her words here. She and I were at Rho Chapter (Wyoming) in the late 70’s, early 80’s.

Karen and Doug’s 17-year old son, Andrew, recently had surgery to remove a mass in his chest. After a couple of very scary weeks, it appears that there is no malignancy, leading to some (cautious) optimism. Please send Andrew, his two younger sisters, Karen, Doug and their families all the positive thoughts you can (prayer, meditation, whatever). I always think it is wise to tap as widely in the good energy in the world as is possible.

Thanks for you time,
Cheri (Fruchey) Lou
