Hello everyone..

In the past, we used to have a weekly Kappa Delta chat on my website, http://kdonliner.tripod.com.  We met every Sunday night, 10pm EST/7pm PST.  We haven't had one in a few months...and I was wondering - is there any interest to start it up again?  If you're interested, meet me there! Or, if you want to be reminded, email me your AIM/Yahoo/ICQ names & I'll send you an instant msg when it begins.

Have a great week!

AOT,
Annie

Alpha Pi would like to welcome our newest member!  Miranda
Summers just transfered to William and Mary from Ball St
(Zeta Kappa), and we just voted her into our chapter.  We
are SO excited to have her here and can't wait to introduce
her to all of our traditions here at Alpha Pi.

Speaking of traditions....Our Shamrock Week is scheduled for
February 15th-21st!!!  There will be a Fun Run on the 15th,
a hair-cut-a-thon on the 16th, and our 10th Annual Campus
Golf event will be held on the 21st.  We're hard at work
planning and publicizing to make this anniversary year the
BEST ever.  We are also looking for alumnae in the area who
would like to help out or participate in any of the events!

I just wanted to let all of my KD sisters out there know about how wonderful my sisters and our chapter are doing. The Delta Omicron chapter at Eastern Kentucky University is for the second semester in a row FIRST IN GRADES! Also the fall pledge class of 2003 came in third out of all eight new member classes here at EKU. This for us is a huge accomplishment because over the last few years we have gone from bottom of the totem pole all the way to the top! Also we have 2 sweethearts for the SAE's (2 of our twins) homecoming queen, runner up and another on court. We have 2 girls on Panhellenic Council one of which is now President, also we have a KA Southern Belle along woth many other prestegious awards for the past year. Way to go girls! Keep up the good work!
Love-N-AOT,
Monica

Hello!  My name is Gena Jelley-Voneida, and I am in Charlottesville, Va. I am hoping to get information about adopting a dog.

On November 7, 2003, I had to put my dog of 4 years to sleep after biting men.  Although the biting men part was somewhat humorous since my divorce, it was not funny at all in real life.  After the involement with Animal Control and the liability portion of my insurance, I had my dog, Jasmine, put to sleep.  It was the hardest decision I have ever made and was heartbreaking.  Well, a year later I am searching to rescue an adult dog.  I have been accepted by the Virginia German Shepherd Rescue, but I am having difficulty finding a completely non-agressive dog.  That is where you come in to play.

I am looking for an adult dog, housetrained, good with children, other dogs and cats.  I know that there are adult dogs available at the animal shelter, as my boyfriend and I volunteer on Sundays, but I have not found a dog that meets all of those qualities.  If any of you can help, please email at  genavoneida@hotmail.com  and have in the subject dog search.  If I do not know you and that is not in the subject, I will delete it right away.

Thank you.

[ed. note: while looking for something to post in this area, I found these inspirational quotes by our sister, Georgia O'Keeffe, on HQ's site. Enjoy! -- Annie]

"Nobody sees a flower, really, it is so small. We haven't time - and to see takes time like to have a friend takes time."

"To create one’s own world in any of the arts takes courage."

"It’s easy to talk through what you’re going to do – you can talk yourself right through without really doing anything."

"You carry your good times with you. If you don’t make your own good time, you might not have it."

"I think it is so foolish for people to want to be happy. Happiness is momentary—you’re happy for an instant and then you start thinking again. Interest is the most important thing in life; happiness is temporary, but interest is continuous."

"Filling a space in a beautiful way. That is what art means to me."
