Hi again. I just wanted to let everyone know that our chapter has made quota for our formal recruitment. We, along with only one other chapter @ WSU made quota. We are so excited. Also, we have also given two more bids within the week and have taken out 5+ potentials. We are on a roll. Hopefully we will reach total within the year. To all of my wonderful sisters, keep up the good work and I love you all :)
Love in AOT,
Rachel

Happy National Women's Friendship Day!
This year Beta Alpha chapter celebrated National Women's Friendship Day by holding a donations drive for Nicaraguan Orphans. Each sorority on grounds was given a box labeled with a specific item, and the boxes were picked up by KD sisters on National Women's Friendship Day. As a thank you,
we spent the day baking cookies for each house which helped
with donations.
This cause is very close to our chapter because a recent alumnae, Shannon Murphy Reppard, and her husband are currently working at the orphanage in Nicaragua, and a group of sisters went last year over Spring Break on a mission trip to the Orphanage. If you would like more information on how to donate items or otherwise help us with this cause email Lindsay Vardy at lav4a@virginia.edu

Hello, my name is Linda Herberger and I work with the alumnae of Northwest Arkansas. We are currently networking to determine if there are any alumnae out there who have connections for buying dining room furniture. We need to replace tables and chairs, but especially chairs to seat 80 to 100 young women. If you have any connections, either contact me at my e-mail or Stephanie Chaney at felinek9@hotmail.com. Thanks.

Hello sisters!
Nicol Purdy planned a fabulous celebration for the Baltimore area AA in
honor of National Women's Friendship Day. On Sunday September 21st, we
gathered at the Baltimore Museum of Art for a delicious brunch followed by a
private tour of the museum. It was terrific!! We had a great tournout and
each sister brought her best friend.
It was a wonderful way to celebrate a special day in such a wonderful way.

[ed. note: this was sent to me by an old friend of mine...thought you all would enjoy it! -- Annie]
Make sure you read this to the end; you will understand why I sent this to you.
Have you ever watched kids playing on a merry go round or listened to the rain lapping on the ground? Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
Do you run through each day on the fly? When you ask "How are you?" Do you hear the reply? When the day is done, do you lie in your bed with the next hundred chores running through your head?
Ever told your child, "We'll do it tomorrow." And in your haste, not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch? Let a good friendship die? Just call to say "Hi"? When you worry and hurry through your day, It is like an unopened gift....Thrown away...
Life is not a race. Take it slower. Hear the music before the song is over.
