Hey ladies,
This is my first post, and I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself...I am an active sister at North Georgia College, Epsilon Gamma chapter....we have 72 beautiful sisters and we are going to be going into rush in about 3 months. We are in my opinion and most others the best chapter here at North GA and I think in the next few years we will expand greatly! This is a great site, and I will be definitely recommending my sisters to check this out! It is so great to see older sisters keeping up with us and staying true to out circle and AOT!

Annie,

Beta Pi-Florida a FABULOUS recruitment and took 59 wonderful young ladies into our circle (quota was 58). We pledged 8 legacies who are all fabulous, and 51 other ladies from all over the state and the United States. Our return rates were higher than they've ever been (99.5% after Round One!!...over 96% after Round Two, over 80% after Round Three and over 60% off of our 1st bid list!! WOW!) Thanks for ALL of your support throughout the spring and summer. Alumnae donations were more than I expected and I owe a lot of thanks to you for that!

Job Announcement -

USDA - National Agricultural Statistics Service (Survey Statistician)

Any Mathematics majors out there?  Anyone that has an interest or experience in agriculture?  My agency maintains a field office in most every state capital city throughout the nation.  We are hiring in most places this year.  9 credit hours of statistics are required.  9 credit hours of agricultural classwork is suggested but optional.  I am a city girl from DC with a math minor and love the job.  The agency hires mostly persons that grew up in rural areas and were Ag Econ majors at major Agricultural colleges.  This makes for a down to earth group of co-workers and work parties are a display of good "down home" cooking.  Please contact me at julie_searle@nass.usda.gov if you are interested.

I also have contacts at the Census Bureau in Suitland, Maryland (PG County) for the same job of Survey Statistician.  Same requirement of 9 credit hours of Statistics, no agricultural slant.  The Census Bureau operates the Economic Census, Population Census, etc.

A woman is like a tea bag....

If you ever look at yourself & feel that you don't measure up, read this and your outlook will change before you finish reading it! This is good to keep, not just to read from time to time, but to also keep stored in your heart! Enjoy, and remember who you are!

When I created the heavens and the earth, I spoke them into being. When I created man, I formed him and breathed life into his nostrils. But you, woman, I fashioned after I breathed the breath of life into man because your nostrils are too delicate. I allowed a deep sleep to come over him so I could patiently and perfectly fashion you. Man was put to sleep so that he could not interfere with the creativity. From one bone, I fashioned you. I chose the bone that protects man's life. I chose the rib, which protects his heart and lungs and supports him, as you are meant to do. Around this one bone, I shaped you...I modeled you.

I created you perfectly and beautifully. Your characteristics are as the rib, strong yet delicate and fragile. You provide protection for the most delicate organ in man, his heart. His heart is the center of his being; his lungs hold the breath of life. The rib cage will allow itself to be broken before it will allow damage to the heart. Support man as the ribcage supports the heart.

You were not taken from his feet, to be under him, nor were you taken from his head, to be above him. You were taken from his side, to stand beside him and be held close to his side. You are my perfect angel. You are my beautiful little girl. You have grown to be a splendid woman of excellence, and my eyes fill when I see the virtues in your heart. Your eyes…don't change them.  Your lips-how lovely when they part in prayer. Your nose, so perfect in form. Your hands so gentle to touch. I've caressed your face in your deepest sleep. I've held your heart close to mine.

Of all that lives and breathes, you are most like me. Adam walked with me in the cool of the day, yet he was lonely. He could not see me or touch me. He could only feel me. So everything I wanted Adam to share and experience with me, I fashioned in you…my holiness, my strength, my purity, my love, my protection and support.

You are special because you are an extension of me. Man represents my image, woman my emotions. Together, you represent the totality of God. So man…treat woman well. Love her, respect her, for she is fragile.

A woman is like a tea bag...you don't know how strong she is until you put her in hot water."

This is for all the women in your lives. Your sisters, your mother, your wives, your daughters, the ladies you work with everyday, even your online female friends. Live, Love and Laugh, You have the World at Your feet.

Send this to all of the wonderful women you know to bless their day.
