Hello everyone...

Sorry I didn't send out a newsletter last week...but the extra time has enabled this to be a full newsletter. :)

I'd like to thank all of you who have sent me your condolences on the loss of my father. Your emails have really helped me through this difficult time.  :)

AOT,
Annie

Sisters, read about the new Greek Village at USF, Tampa, FL,  in the St. Petersburg Times Online at http://www.sptimes.com/2003/07/27/Tampabay/Latest_chapter_in_USF.shtml

There is an article with a photo of the K
D/AOP house in the Monday, July 28th print edition on page 3B.  Our house is the one on the left with the lovely trees out front.  There may have been an article with a photo in the Hillsborough edition on the 27th because that's the date of the online article.

According to House Corp Pres., Jan Kelly, we'll get the keys at
9 a.m. on Sat., Aug. 9 and start decorating and moving in that day.  The bedrooms are all ready to go for the girls who will live in the house.  We'll be there working all weekend and the following week to get the House Director's room, common areas, and bathrooms set up with our own personal touches.  Anyone who has time and muscles to donate, please contact Jan at JBKELLY5@aol.com.  We'll need lots of help, so bring family members, too, along with paint brushes, power tools, paint tarps, etc.  Bring your own water and snacks.

Many thanks for your loving support of the Delta Etas.
Love in our Kappa Delta,
Jan Ballantine

Hey, I was just thinking you should include in your next newsletter a reminder to update the Ad Aware software. They are up to a version 6.0.

I read about Ad Aware in your newsletter a long time ago.  I have been a happy user ever since.  Today while I was scanning and there was nothing to remove for about the 7th time in a row.  I started thinking maybe it was time to update.

Well, boy was it.  I updated to the newest version 6.0 /181.   It seems pretty cool because it allows you to get updates occasionally from lavasoft without a new version (ala Nortan Antivirus).

I was shocked to discover I had 129 items after the scan.  And about 5 that were related to a possible attempt to hijack my computer.  (I just scanned with Ad Aware 5.0 and had nothing about 2 min prior to scanning again with 6.0)

Anyway, it seemed like there were probably others who downloaded Ad Aware when you first suggested it that hadn't bothered to update it.  I thought you could remind them!

[ed. note: thanks for the reminder! Anyone can download this program for free.  Just go to www.download.com, type in "AdAware" and the rest is self-explanatory. - Annie]
