Hi everyone!

Welcome to the first issue of volume nine!

I'm a bit late in sending out this issue - didn't get too much news, but that will change shortly.  As I write this, the 2003 KD Convention is happening right now in Tucson, AZ.  And guess what!  YOU can find out about the Awards in "real time" on the KD HQ website!!  There's a special page set up @ http://www.kappadelta.org/News/news.htm, and then there's a link to the special awards page.  I'm waiting to find out about the Chapter & Alumnae Association awards, which are happening right now.

More news next week! :)

AOT,
Annie

Dear Sisters,
I have exciting scholarship news from our Alpha Pi chapter at William
and Mary.  Grade reports for the Spring 2003 semester have been run,
and Kappa Delta was ranked #1 academically amongst all sororities for
the Spring 2003 semester with an unprecedented 3.4268 chapter GPA.
That is a remarkable achievement for our chapter and one for which we
are VERY proud of!  Also, our Spring 2003 chapter GPA is the highest
sorority grade average on record at W&M.  Congratulations to all our
sisters for their hard work and dedication to scholarship.  Keep up the
hard work!

Hello everyone!!!

I just wanted to send out a HUGE congratulations to Jamie Watkins of Beta Kappa, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.  Just a few days ago, Jamie was crowned the new MISS TENNESSEE!!!  She will go on to compete in the Miss America pageant in September.  We are soooo proud of her and incredibly happy for her.  This was her 3rd appearance in the competition.  I suppose 3rd time IS a charm!  You can bet we will all be watching in September!!!  So, Congratulations to Jamie!!!

I just wanted to say congratulations to Mary Page (Delta Pi) on her recent graduation from Middle Tennessee State University  and on her June 21st wedding to my brother, Darren Crutcher.  Mary & Darren are moving to Flinstone, GA and she will be teaching English in nearby Chattanooga this fall.  I never thought that I would have such a great sister-in-law and the fact that she is a Kappa Delta Sister (from my chapter) is a great blessing.  Congratulations Mary!

I am moving to Murfreesboro, TN. I will be working with Admissions at MTSU. I would like to meet some KDs in the area and get some information about the town.
