Hey there!

Boy, what a summer!  Here in Seattle, we've broken records, as in many other places around the country.  I hope everyone is staying as cool as possible..

In KD news, the Angelos came out a couple of weeks ago.  (Great job as always, Judy!)   Like most of you, I always scan each issue for some familiar names...and SURPRISE! There's a picture of me with Lindsey Ramos, from when she visited Seattle. As the caption says, LJ & I have been talking online for years, thanks to this newsletter.  Through instant messaging & emails (and yes, even myspace.com), we've become good friends.  Thanks LJ, for submitting the picture!

Also, if you're looking for more KD news, be sure to subscribe to HQ's KD Connection, the official email newsletter (my newsletter is unofficial).  the latest issue is here: http://www.kappadelta.org/MemberServices/Advisor-E/AAE0706.htm

Now, on to a lot of messages...!

AOT,

Annie

Hey KD ladies!

My husband and I were relocated from Cleveland, Ohio to Rancho Cucamonga, California a couple of months ago.  Since then, I have met some great KD's from the local alumnae group, but I'm always looking to meet some new friends as we don't know too many people out this way.  If you live in the area or know someone who does, I would love to talk to you!  I can be contacted at munchkinlbm@hotmail.com.  Have a great day!

Hello Sisters!

I am currently deciding my future and would love some help from anyone who has undergone master's work in Public Health, Social Work or Higher Education Administration. I hope to apply to schools this fall and want to know more about these programs before I shell out all those application fees. And what better way to find out about different programs and careers by asking fellow KDs.

Please email me if you can help!

Hi -

My name is Christine Frydenborg.  I am a '92 graduate from Univ of Conn. Zeta Delta Chapter.  I recently founded an educational youth theater group called Best Foot Forward Productions.  The mission of Best Foot Forward Productions is three-fold: First to provide youth with the opportunity to learn about all aspects of theater (both on and off stage). Next, accomplish this through producing all types of theatrical productions and mentoring youth in directing, lighting, sound, acting etc. Lastly, provide the community with easily accessible and affordable quality theatrical entertainment.

We are well underway with a good starting membership and have begun work on our first production, "Bye Bye Birdie" scheduled to run November 10-19 with a cast of individuals ages 8-21.  My reasons for writing is that this is a cause I am very passionate about in order to not only mentor these individuals but to give them a healthy alternative in terms of what to do after school.  But, we need money.  We are not-for-profit.  We are seeking donations, sponsorships, items we can raffle etc.  Anyone anywhere interested in contributing or those living in the Southern NH, North Eatern Mass area who want to help or get involved please contact us.  Our website is bestfootforwardproductions.org and our email is
bffproductions@comcast.net

Thank you so much,
Christine Frydenborg '92
