Hi everybody..

Happy (belated) Founders Day!   Two weeks ago, I went to the Seattle AA's Founders Day Brunch.  Being the first time I attended this event, I was very impressed.  Not only were there many alumnae, but also, the collegians from UW (Sigma Iota) also attended.  I got there just in time to meet the chapter's New Members, who were in a receiving line - what a great way to welcome them into our sisterhood!  Also in attendance were former National President Pat Nieman & current National Editor Judy Thorne, who both live in the area. It was wonderful to meet all the ladies, and I am looking forward to being part of the group. :)

On another note, I know you all join me in sending well wishes for our sisters in South Florida, who were hit by Hurricane Wilma.  I guess we moved from the area just in time...but my heart is still there. :)

That's it from me.... have a great week (or two)!

AOT,

Annie

Hey Everyone!

I just wanted to send out my personal thanks to all of you that helpedout the Gamma Iota Chapter of KD at San Jose State, CA these past few weeks during our preparation for Recruitment and this past weekend during recruitment!

We have some very exciting news to share with all of you!! For the first time in a few years, Gamma Iota has met quota after recruitment!

We have added 21 WONDERFUL new members to our sisterhood! We are very proud of the women that we are adding to our sisterhood and to KD as a whole. Our ladies worked very hard during the past weeks to make this our best recruitment ever, and I can honestly say that their hard work and dedication has paid off. We have more new members than any of the other PHC chapters on campus, and our chapter numbers have moved from 23 to 44!!!!

We have planned an extensive list of activities for our Welcome Week this week and we are excited to bid even more wonderful ladies this week!

I am very proud of the efforts our ladies put into this recruitment and hope that you are all proud as well!!!

Thank you again to all of those that helped out by providing food for the ladies (they loved it all!), support in practicing for recruitment (it showed), and just plain old sisterly love (Carol Coordt you are amazing!!) to these ladies as they made it through the last challenge of the semester.  It is so appreciated!

I hope that many of you get the opportunity to meet our new ladies in the future, and we'll be sure to send you a Bid Day picture as soon as they come in!

Thanks again for all of your love and support! We couldn't have done it without you!

AOT,

Hi!

A few years ago, someone posted a website to order KD
Luggage tags.  I purchased them and they were cool.
But now I have moved.  I thought the  company name was
on the tags, but it is not.

Does anyone know who the company was or the website??

Hello everyone!  I’m writing because I need some help!  I’m in the process of relocating to the Columbia, SC area from Charleston, SC.  I need to find a job!  I have been job-hunting for a little over two months now, and unfortunately I have been unsuccessful.  I’m currently not working.  I’m pretty much open to any ideas about a job, and what I’d like to do.  Basically if I might be qualified for it, and if I’m interested…I’d love to hear about it!  I received my Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of South Carolina in December 2001.  My major was Broadcast Journalism, and my minor was Retailing.  I have been working in various jobs since then.  Please feel free to e-mail me with any job leads, etc…I would greatly appreciate it!  My e-mail address is: KimTrout@hotmail.com.  Thanks so much for your help!

I am VERY excited to announce the engangement of my biological and KD sister, Kelly Mewha (University of South Florida) to her sweetheart, Rob Campion.  Kelly has always been my best friend and biggest cheerleader, and I'm so happy she's found someone who loves her (almost) as much as I do!  She's moving to New Mexico, on the other side of the country from her big sister, but I couldn't imagine trusting her to better hands.

Kelly, I am so proud of the KD lady you have grown into.  You are the most honorable, beautiful person I know, and I am certain your life will be filled with the highest sort of love.

I know Kelly would love to meet other KDs in the Las Crucas area, so if you know anyone in the area, they can contact her at kelly@goldenhourdata.com.

I'm thrilled to announce the great news of our new little legacy joining the world!

Emily Joyce Baldauff was born on Monday, August, 22, 2005.  She was 7 lbs. 1 oz and 20 1/2 inches long.  I'm able to take to rest of this year off from work and I am really enjoying the bonding time with our new daughter.  Big brother (4 1/2 year old) Justin is so sweet with her so that's been a blessing!

I hope all is well with you and yours.  Take care!

My husband, Ted Wheeler, is running for Multnomah County Chair in 2006 and
as early as it seems, the campaign has been running strong for a number of
months now.

Thank you so much to everyone that was able to make it to Ted's Campaign
Kickoff for Multnomah Co Chair!
Here's a story about it...

Although the story says 150, we actually had over 200 people there that we
