My husband and I will be taking a class in October about becoming foster
parents in Georgia. I would love to hear experiences good and bad from
other Kappa Deltas that have fostered children. My number one concern is
for my son, Bryan. He's six. I tried explaining the idea to him. I just
fear that when a child leaves our house, it will upset him. I've explained
to him that there may be kids coming to stay at our house for a few days at
a time and then going back to their homes to be with family. I told him it
would be like having a friend stay over. Sometimes he could be a temporary
big brother or sometimes he may even get to play the little brother. Of
course, he thinks it's cool and would prefer a boy to come stay instead of a
girl. But when it actually happens, will he still be okay with it.

Hi. I am looking for a new living situation in the Orlando/Winter Park area. My apartment rent recently increased quite a bit so I am looking into my options. If any KD sisters know of rentals or anyone looking for a roommate I would greatly appreciate the info.

Hi! I haven’t read this since my college years, but it is good to see it is still up and running. I am a Kappa Delta, Epsilon Omega ’97, and have just moved to Bermuda. I am wondering if there are any other KD’s around Bermuda who read this. Pretty slim chance I know, but always curious to see if there is anyone out there. Or any of you KD’s who take a cruise out to the island, send me an email and let me know!

I would like to introduce the newest addition and hopeful KD legacy, our ‘Strawberry Princess,’ Abigail Katherine Agudelo, who was born on June 21, 2005 at 6:05 p.m. with red hair and stunning blue eyes! Abigail weighed in at 7 lbs. 13 oz. and was 19 inches long. Although she spent the first few weeks of her life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, Mass., she has since arrived home where she is now enjoying the shimmer of diamonds, emeralds and pearls. Many thanks to our extended KD family for the prayers and warm regards.
