Hello everybody..

News from Beta Pi-Florida:
Kappa Delta and Kappa Sigma took home the prestigious Dance Marathon at
UF Miracle Cup for the second year in a row! The pair raised an
unbelievable total of $$50,506.55 for Children's Miracle Network at
UF&Shands Children's Hospital. Mara Weiss, 2005 KD delegate, was also
selected to be a member of the 2006 Overall Team as the Dancer
Relations Chair. Many members were active as team members and captains
and I was happy to continue serving as the DM advisor from Children's
Miracle Network.
Congratulations to everyone who was a part of this incredible event,
you are all true CHAMPIONS for the kids at UF&Shands Children's Hospital!
Also, I am very happy to share some exciting Beta Pi news. I recently heard that the chapter was well represented in the Miss UF/Miss Florida Gator pageant once again.
Mari Wilensky, currently VP Standards, took home the Miss UF crown! She will represent UF, along with the new Miss Florida Gator, as they compete for the title of Miss Florida in June. You should be able to get more details when they update the website, www.fbk.org/missuf/

Hello Kappa Deltas!
I am the Panhellenic Advisor for CAB to Epsilon Upsilon of Cal Poly Pomona in Southern California. I need any advice on the following situation that anyone can offer:
In the last two weeks, our campus has lost its Greek Advisor, and Fall Recruitment has now been laid in the hands of an active member / student from another Panhellenic Chapter on our campus. How it got to this point, I have no idea!
Does anyone have any advice as to how to address this, or has anyone experienced a similar situation?
I am going to contact National Panhellenic, but I just thought if anyone could give me any information, I would really appreciate it.
AOT~

[ed, note: I've run this in past KD Online newsletters, but a friend recently sent it to me...enjoy! -- Annie ]
Friendship is a strange thing...
We find ourselves telling each other the deepest details of our lives...things we don't even share with our families. But what is a friend? A confidant? A lover? A shoulder to cry on? An ear to listen? A heart to feel? A friend is all of these things and more.
No matter where we met, no matter how long we've been together...
I call you a friend. A word so small, yet so large in feeling,
a word filled with emotion, a word overflowing with LOVE.
Truly great things come in small packages. Once the package of
friendship has been opened, it can never be closed. It is a constant
book always waiting...waiting to be read...and enjoyed. We may have
our disagreements... we may have our disappointments...we may
argue...we may concern one another ... friendship is a unique bond that lasts
through all tribulations. A part of each of us goes into
our friendships...our humor...our experiences...our tears.
Friendships are foundations...necessary for life...and love.
Friends...you and me... You brought another friend and then there were three...we started our group...our circle of friends ... there is no beginning...there is no end.
Even though I don't speak to you all everyday ... or even as often as I would like to...You have all crossed my path of life in one way or another...some of you I've only bumped into ... some have walked a while with me... and some of you will continue to walk with me...but
DON'T EVER THINK FOR A SECOND that since we aren't in constant contact...that I don't think of you all
... Because if it wasn't for coming across all of YOU ... who knows?
I would a be a completely different person...and...well...I'm happy with how I've turned out so far. Thank you.
