Hi everyone!
A few weeks ago, I went to my first Seattle KD AA event. The Seattle Daytime AA met at the Frye Museum, as their last function for the year. We had lunch in the cafe before a docent-led tour, and I had a wonderful time chatting with everyone. It was such a nice afternoon, despite the rain! I'm looking forward to joining this group in the fall. :)
Oh, the AA was selling the Prevent Child Abuse blue bracelets. If your AA or chapter isn't selling them, give HQ a buzz at 800-536-1897 or email kappadelta@kappadelta.org to find out how you can get yours. :)
AOT,
Annie

KD sisters desperately needed to care for pets in Alexandria, VA!!! My business is GROWING -- AGAIN, and I'm looking for responsible, personable animal lovers who live in the Alexandria area to help care for the pampered pets of professionals! My main need is for midday dog walkers -- so if you're coming to the area for the summer and want a great summer job - let me know. However, I'm also hiring sitters to work mornings, evenings and weekends on an on-call basis -- so if you want a little 'snuggle'time with pets and have a full-time job - this is great for you too. Please know that I do require a basic background check to comply with all insurance pre-requisites. If you're interested in this job -- or if you want to learn about starting a pet-care business where you live -- send me an email to peggie@peggiespets.com -- I'd love to hear from you!

Hello KD's!
I wanted to tell you how I realized that there are more KD's than you realize.
When I was going through a divorce in 2001, I was in search of a career and stability.
God sent me a KD.
That's right! I was told that there was a recruiter for State Farm on campus looking for employees of State Farm! I quickly jumped at the opportunity to be apart of a Fortune 500 company. After my first interview, the interviewee stopped me and said, "AOT!" I about died! Turns out she was a KD.
More recently, I was selected to be a State Farm Agent near the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Last week I was sitting in my training unit when feeling a little overwhelmed and nervous of the HUGE amount of information being thrown at me when -
God sent me a KD!
Our group had a break and I secretly went to the bathroom to get my nerves under control (you know what I mean... hide in the stall and shake your body and let a few tears fall down.) When I returned a new trainer was in the room. I introduced myself and she immediately told me she was a KD from UCF! I can't explain how good it made me feel to have a SISTER near me again. I now have someone that I feel comfortable expressing myself with. She is open minded, honest, and true - all of the charateristics of a KD!
So when you think you are alone, God may send you a KD. Because we are everywhere!
