There have been a bunch of new subscribers to this newsletter (welcome!), but I've hardly gotten any news to send out an issue. So I've had to go digging for something to run! (Please send in your news!)
Congratulations to all our collegians who are graduating this weekend! We wish you the best! And remember - KD life doesn't end after college...join your local alumnae association & participate in their activities.
The UF Panhellenic's website has been redone - it looks great! Check it out at http://www.ufpanhellenic.com/. (KD's site is "under construction..")
Is anyone out there attending the KD Convention in Tucson, AZ this year? (Unfortunately, I am not going.) I'm sure Beta Pi is in the running for the Council Award...??
That's it for now...
AOT,
Annie

The Ft. Lauderdale KD Alumnae Association is planning a summer full of FUN events, including:
* the ever-popular pottery painting
* a party in the park for KDs & their kids - with a visit from the local fire dept.
* dinner/happy hour at trendy restaurants
If you're in Miami-Dade, Broward or Palm Beach Counties, you're invited - membership is not required, but these events are only open to KD's.
Join our email list to find out more. Just email kdonline@yahoo.com or visit http://browardkd.tripod.com and sign up for our Yahoogroup. :)

I just wanted to let everyone know that my sister, Jaime Silveira (Kearney - PC '95), and her husband, Chris, had their first baby boy, Colby Eric Silveira! He was born February 27, 2003. He weighed in at 7.3 lbs and 18.5 in. He gave his mom a bit of trouble with the delivery, but both mom and baby are happy and healthy now. Congrats to Jaime and Chris!
Love in AOT,

[ed. note - I ran this in an issue a few years ago. I thought it was cute enough to repeat! -- Annie]
When my son first left for college,
His dad gave him advice for life;
You can date each and every Kappa,
but bring home a KD for a wife.
You can Party with the Tri-Delts,
and it's fine to date a DG,
but when it's time to marry,
Be sure to find a KD.
The Chi-O's can be on your agenda,
and Pi Phi's are fun for a date,
but never, ever forget that
you'll want a KD for your mate.
We want you to enjoy your college years
and give all the sororities a spin,
but never buy a ring unless
Kappa Delta is her pin.
During your four years of college,
you'll go from one suite to another,
but take the advice of your smiling old dad
and bring home a Kappa Delta to your mother!
