Well, I got a decent response to the last Beta Pi newsletter, in which I asked for updates on everyone.

So, rather than print them all @ once, I'll spread them out a bit. So if your info isn't in this issue, it'll be in the next issue..and if you haven't sent in your news, then do it today! :)

But first, Suzanne Boy, a collegian (PC 99) was nice enough to send us an update of what's going on @ 1122 E. Panhellenic! Thanks so much for sending in the info -- & we look forward to hearing from ANYONE @ UF!

They are doing an awesome job so far...I'm sure we will have an awesome year.

In other things, we did Homecoming Week with Sig Ep...it was definitely a week to remember. I had a lot of fun, and most of the sisters went to everything. One of our sisters, Carrie Mewha, was elected UF Homecoming Queen!! We are so proud.

As for other socials and things, we had functions with Pi Kappa Phi, Sigma Chi, Phi Delta Theta, and SAE. Social voting for this semester will be soon I think.

We have many sisters who had 4.0 GPAs last semester, two girls who joined the Florida Blue Key, and many girls go out for numerous other things, such as Cicerones and Savant UF. Sisters Jamie Garcia and Angie Cotilla were elected into positions on the Panhellenic Council, and Sara Winn was selected to be Head Rho Chi this fall.

I'm sure there are tons of things I've forgotten, so when I think of them I will let you know! I just wanted to tell you and the other Beta Pi alums what was going on! Take care.

I currently live in Atlanta after moving from Annapolis, Maryland last May. I was working as a software engineer/project manager at IMS Health Strategic Technologies (company develops software for Pharmaceutical companies), but have been a "stay at home" mom since the birth of my daughter, Amanda, on 11/4/1998. I get to see Gail Howard Eischeid and her daughter Emilye for play dates almost weekly, even though Gail lives out in the burbs!
