Convention was SUCH a great experience...it was a thrill & honor to receive the Order of the Emerald! And it was so wonderful to meet up again with Aimee GIRO Pricher, who updated me on the house goings-on. Kinda made me want to go visit....! ;)

I didn't print it in the last KD Online, because it hadn't been announced, but the 2001 Convention will be held in Orlando! I hope some of you guys can make it -- we need a good Florida showing!

Just as an update... Kerry Young Carlisle and her husband Reid are celebrating the arrival of their first child, a boy named William Reid who too will go by "Reid" like his dad. Reid arrived in early May and both he and Kerry are doing great!

My husband Alan and I are also expecting our first baby October 3. We have decided to be surprised so we do not know the sex yet, however a baby Gator for sure!

In a small world story... I was in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for work at the beginning of June and on the street met a woman who was not only a Kappa Delta but from the University of Florida, pledge class 1969! Talk about a small world and she too knew Betty Reiker (spelling?). What are the odds?
